If you can, this is your kit! The Tiny Watts 5.0 is our most popular van power center. It's truly the perfect amount of power for a weekend getaway, an extended trip, or full-time living for the mindful power user!
This power center will accept up to 1000W of solar power! In the Tiny Watts 5.0 van power kit you'll find a fully integrated Victron system with the main components being: a 3000W Victron inverter/charger, Victron Smart BMS 24V 5.12kWh lithium iron phosphate (LiFePO4) battery bank (400ah equivalent). Victron 360W DC to DC alternator charger or you can select the option to have a second alternator to recharge completely in just a few hours of driving.
The Tiny Watts 5.0 solar power kit can run a 120V air conditioner for ~2-4 hours or a 12/24V DC air conditioner (recommended) for 6-8 hours. If you want to keep your furry friends cool for a few hours and are ok running one high-powered kitchen appliance at a time then this is the perfect fit for you. If you want to have a longer run time for an air conditioner for overnight use (12-16 hours) then head over to our Tiny Watts 10 power kit for a level up!

Add A Secondary Alternator (3000W)
For faster charging, you have the option to add a 24V secondary alternator, which allows you to recharge your battery bank within 2.5-3 hours of driving from empty!
Please note to add the secondary alternator, the 'add second alternator' option must be selected. The second alternator price is an additional $3,500.00.

We lived in our van for 4 years and the Tiny Watts 5.0 was a luxury, cooking on an induction cooktop, running our electric kettle for coffee and throwing pizzas in our toaster oven. We didn't think much about power as it was the perfect amount for our everyday power needs and for most people it truly is. You just have to be ok making coffee first and then cooking breakfast as the 3000W inverter has 2400W continuous output, but hey, we’re camping in a van! If you want to run more than one 1800W appliance at a time, for example dual induction cooktop and a toaster oven then check out our Tiny Watts 10 kit. OPTIONAL UPGRADE INCLUSIONS
With the second alternator, you'll get everything in the standard Tiny Watts 5.0 PLUS a dedicated 24V secondary alternator for up to 150A 3000W of charging while driving and ~1800W at idle.

Once you place your order and make your deposit payment, we'll be in touch to schedule a time to discuss your project and make sure you've got the right power system for your setup. You'll have the opportunity to ask any questions you have and update your selections if you need to before we finalize your order. Don't worry, if for some reason you need to cancel your order, your deposit payment is fully refundable.
Step One
Place your order and make your deposit payment on our website.
Step Two
Talk with a Tiny Watts team member to finalize your order. With your order finalized, you'll submit 40% of your total cost to initiate your build.
Step Three
You'll receive your Phase 1 kit and we'll get your build underway. Once your kit is ready to ship, we'll send an invoice for the remaining 50% and send your kit out to you when payment has been made.
Step Four
Install your kit and enjoy solar freedom on all your adventures with your Tiny Watts 5.0!

How much does shipping cost?
We offer free shipping on all items within the continental US, so shipping is free for your Tiny Watts 5.0 power system.
How long until I receive my Tiny Watts 5.0?
Our current lead time is 6-8 weeks from when your order is placed. You can expect to receive your Phase 1 Kit (solar kit) 2-3 weeks after your order is placed. While you install your Phase 1 kit your power center will be in the process of being built. You'll receive your full Tiny Watts 5.0 kit (phase 1 + power center) within 6-8 weeks after your order is placed.
Which Solar Panel Do you Recommend with the Tiny Watts 5.0?
We recommend pairing your Tiny Watts 5.0 with 370 watts or more of solar. You can never have too much solar so we recommend as many watts as you can fit on the roof of your van. On a Sprinter 144 you can easily fit a 370W solar panel or 500W panel with room for a vent or an air conditioner. On a Sprinter 170 you can fit 370W solar panel or 500W with a vent and an air conditioner with the solar panel in the middle. Or up to 740W or 1000W with the sacrifice of the air conditioner or vent. On a Promaster van or a Ford Transit you can fit 740W (2 of our standard solar panels) with room for a vent or air conditioning unit.
Can I add additional batteries for more power storage?
If you're looking for a larger battery bank, see our largest system - the Tiny Watts 10. This larger system has 10kWh (800Ah equivalent) of power storage. If you have extra large power needs, you can also reach out to us for something custom.
What voltage is the Tiny Watts 5.0?
12, 24, 48 volts? The Tiny Watts 5.0 utilizes a 24V base to keep certain components and wiring in the system smaller. That being said we step the voltage down to 12V for (15) dedicated DC loads so you don’t have to worry about it.
How long can I run A/C with the Tiny Watts 10?
The Tiny Watts 5.0 can run a 12V or 24V DC air conditioner assuming 750W continuous power demands for about 6-8 hours. The Tiny Watts 5.0 can run a 120V air conditioner assuming 1500W continuous power demands for around 3 hours.
Can you install the Tiny Watts 5.0 for me?
Yes, we do installations of our Tiny Watts power systems at our shop in Redmond, Oregon. We say to typically expect a 3-5 day install depending on any extras and our installs start $2,500 but with a second alternator they are $3,500. Your van will need to have a finished floor and be empty of personal belongings in the garage area at the time of drop off. If you have an upfitter building out your van we are happy to connect with your upfitter and walk them through the installation process.
